Jan joined Together Learning Trust in 2019. She is Chair of the Trust Board and also a member of Audit& Risk; Education & Standards and Pay & Renumeration committees.

Jan has extensive and varied experience working in the Public Sector across Calderdale and Kirklees. She worked as a Careers Advice and Guidance worker before taking on a Business Development Role supporting the establishment, delivery and monitoring of Breakfast and After Schools clubs throughout Kirklees. Jan also worked for several years as a Sure Start Locality Manager, leading the development and delivery of 9 Children Centres.

After taking earlyish retirement Jan returned to work (part-time) in a local primary school supporting a young person with additional needs.

Jan is an experienced primary and secondary school governor. She was Chair of Governors at Honley High School for 6 years leading the Governing Body through 2 Ofsted Inspections and the school’s conversion to an Academy and joining Together Learning Trust.
