Amanda's career began at Halifax Bank and Estate Agency, where she spent 15 years honing her skills and working her way up from a cashier to a manager. Her remarkable abilities were duly recognized when she was awarded Manager of the Year at the yearly conference in Birmingham NEC, an award of significant importance, considering it was bestowed among peers from all branches.
Driven by her exceptional people management skills and a talent for training, Amanda was invited to join the team at Head Office. There, she played a pivotal role in designing and delivering training materials, including a comprehensive Developing Manager training course, which she led with excellence.
Life took a new turn when redundancy came knocking after 15 years of dedicated service. Amanda, with an 18-month-old son to care for, gracefully accepted the offer. She took this opportunity to enjoy precious moments with her son, an invaluable time for both of them.
As her son began school, Amanda eagerly sought new professional opportunities. Her remarkable communication and interpersonal skills caught the attention of Honley High School, where she started as an Office Manager. Her exceptional ability to connect with people eventually led to the expansion of her role into HR Manager, where she expertly oversaw all aspects of human resources.
In June 2023, Amanda joined the Trust HR team as the Recruitment Specialist. In this role, she is entrusted with the crucial task of managing all aspects of the recruitment process, a responsibility she approaches with enthusiasm and expertise.
Beyond her professional life, Amanda finds joy in nature-related activities, including walking and bird watching. She also appreciates the simple pleasures of dining out and cherishing moments with her family. Her favorite destinations in the UK include the enchanting landscapes of North Devon and Cornwall.
