Kath Parker brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role as the Executive Director of Education at our trust, with a career spanning over two decades in the field of education. Her journey is marked by dedication and an unwavering commitment to fostering academic excellence.

Kath's educational journey began in 1996 when she started her career as a qualified Mathematics teacher at Sharples school in Bolton. This early foundation laid the groundwork for her future contributions to the field of education.

In September 2003, Kath made a significant move from Lancashire to Yorkshire, joining Ryburn as the Head of Mathematics. This transition not only represented a geographical change but also marked the beginning of a transformative period in her career.

Kath's passion for mathematics education led her to become the Calderdale Lead Teacher for Mathematics. In this role, she collaborated with schools across the authority to elevate standards and promote numeracy across the curriculum.

Her dedication to Ryburn spanned nearly two decades, during which she held senior leadership roles with a sharp focus on standards and outcomes. Her enduring commitment to the school contributed significantly to its success.

Kath's collaborative spirit was further demonstrated as she served as the Chair of the Calderdale Deputy Headteacher Committee for three years. In this capacity, she fostered a collaborative approach to school improvement, working closely with other school leaders.

Kath played a pivotal role in the establishment of our trust, working closely with the CEO and founding Headteachers to bring the vision to life.

From September 2019 to January 2023, Kath assumed the role of Headteacher at Ryburn Valley High School, further solidifying her leadership skills and dedication to educational excellence.

Kath holds the prestigious National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH), a testament to her commitment to continuous growth and development.

In January 2023, Kath took on the role of Executive Director of Secondary Education within our trust. Her focus centers on curriculum development, quality assurance, and achieving outstanding educational outcomes. She is driven by the belief that all students deserve access to a high-quality education that equips them with the skills and knowledge to excel in their future endeavors.
